DivIDE parts ordered
Friday, June 26, 2009, 09:38 AM
I just ordered the parts for the next project: a batch of DivIDE interfaces.

I expect to receive all parts within two weeks.
The soldering should be easy, and the same counts for the programming of the ic's.

Be sure to visit www.benophetinternet.nl/hobby for updates!

K-Mouse 2008 on eBay!
Monday, June 22, 2009, 07:26 PM
I just put the interface for sale on eBay.
But if you not want to use eBay, you can still order directly from me, using the 'Contact Me' form on the right!

Click here for the eBay auction!

K-Mouse orders accepted!

I just finished and tested the first few K-Mouse interfaces of the new batch.
They work perfectly, so... come and get one (or two, or three if you like, anyway, you know what I mean).

No free mouse this time, as I'm out of them.
If you like, I can deliver a mouse for 5 euro more, see the picture underneath.

Here are some pictures of a few K-Mouse interfaces of the new batch; more are coming of course!

K-Mouse batch progress
Sunday, June 7, 2009, 05:10 PM
I'm currently working on the batch of K-Mouse 2008 interfaces.
I have all the parts at home, and it seems to go allright, allthough I ordered some VERY small smd resistors, instead of 'regular' smd sized resistors, so that's a bit tricky.

I think the first 10 are ready in two weeks, but please wait with your questions if you already mailed me, until I send you an email you can place your order.

In case you did not yet mail me to put you on the list, you can still do so! Use the contact form on the right for that.

Here some nice pictures of the progress; aren't I prepared very well? ;)

These are the diodes at the joystick port, and believe me: these aren't even the smallest parts to solder...

Preparing for a new project...

I visited a concert of Jean Michel Jarre last week, which I'm a huge fan of.

Jarre played many very nice retro-instruments live, and also his Laserharp - check out YouTube for some video's of Jarre playing this unique instrument .

Years ago I built a laserharp my own, out of 10 seperate red laser diodes, and always was thinking of building it again using a more advanced design and a better (higher power) laser.

So, now I'm finally soing so, selecting parts and prepping for this project: a rebuild of Jarre's laserharp.

Here's a video of a simulation to determine the complexity of the DAC to use. Well, I could easily use a 8 or 16 bit DAC, but I have some reasons to limit the bits.
